Departure on december 8 or 15 2011 :
Jour 1 : Mulhouse, Eguisheim and Colmar
City tour of Mulhouse : historical center with its christmas market in front of the city hall then dricve to the charming village of Eguisheim. Here ‘s an authentic christmas market. Overnight in Colmar near by.
Jour 2 : Around Colmar.
Colmar, Kaysersberg, Riquewihr Hunawihr and Ribeauvillé.
Then, you will discover some of the most beautiful towns in Alsace: Hunawhir, Riquewhir and Kayserberg. You will admire the exquisite architecture in the towns with christmas decoration. Each village has is own christmas market, far from the crowd of the main cities and with a real intimate ambience. Overnight in Colmar.
Jour 3 : from Colmar to Ottrot.
Castle of Haut Koenigsbourg, Saint-Odile mount and Obernai.
Traveling on, you will visit the most famous castle in Alsace: Haut-Koenigsbourg (High Royal Castle). Perched on a hill dominating the valley, it is one of the most outstanding examples of military architecture in the region. You will drive north and travel across the countryside to Mont Saint Odile. At an altitude of 763 meters, it offers a magnificent panoramic view of Alsace and is a favorite of hikers. There are various vantage points along the roads winding around the mountain that offer exceptional views of the countryside. Visit of the nice town of Obernai and its christmas market. You spend the night in Ottrot at Hotel L’Ami Fritz !
Jour 4 : from Ottrot to Strasbourg.
Rosheim, Strasbourg.
Today you reach Strasbourg with a visit of Rosheim, charing village with its christmas market. On the evening, you will visit Strasbourg illuminated by its famous christmas market around the majestuous Cathedral.
Jour 5 : Strasbourg.
Visit of Strasbourg : The Cathedral and The Petite France district. Departure at your convenience.
